The Ostrich Fair
If you think that sounds exciting, you are very wrong.
and if someone tries to talk you into going, turn and run.
Much to my dismay, there werent really any ostriches anywhere. I wanted them to be walking around and ready for me to ride at my bidding. The only place we even saw an ostrich was at the ostrich races (see picture below) and the petting zoo, which gave you a warning of receiving illnesses that can cause death upon entering.
OOH Sign me up!

the only redeeming quality was the face painting booth- of which i took full advantage of.
I score the Ostrich Festival 2 stars out of 5.

Carnival @ Fiesta Mall Parking Lot
Once again, not one of my brighter ideas, but I wanted to ride a farris wheel.
Apparently, this carnival chose not to have one (what kinda of carnival doesnt have a farris wheel?! one in the ghetto fiesta mall parking lot ..) But we made the most of it and rode a few rides - some of which made me fear for the safety of my life, which is never a fun experience.
This is cosmo at the top of the big slide egging on a little girl to race. She was clearly unimpressed and I think she ended up winning in the end.

Nothing says high class like a picture with your heads on kangaroos!

Cosmo's Birthday
This is my failed attempt at a birthday surprise.
Note to self: Putting 27 candles directly into a teeny tiny hot cake right out of the oven is a bad idea and will set off the fire alarm.

AWESOME!
Next time, ditch the candles and keep the hot fudge! You can replace the melting candles with melting ice cream and you'll never want to go back to room-temp cake again!
Cheers to another great year!!
